Public Café Restaurant in Syntagma Square, it’s one of those spots that wins you over more with the overall vibe than anything else. The location alone is hard to beat — right in the heart of Athens, with a great view of the square if you grab a table by the windows or outside. It’s the kind of place where you can sit for hours people-watching without getting bored. Inside, the space feels modern and stylish but still relaxed. I went in the afternoon and it had that perfect café-restaurant. Food-wise, everything I tried was solid. The menu leans Mediterranean with some international options — brunch items, pasta, salads, burgers, plus desserts and good coffee. Presentation was nice, portions decent, and the flavors were fresh even if not mind-blowing. Prices are a bit higher than average, but you’re definitely paying for the location and setting too. The service was polite and fairly quick considering how busy it gets. Nothing overly formal, just friendly and efficient, which fits the atmosphere. Overall: If you want a central meeting spot, a stylish coffee break, or a casual meal with a view of Syntagma, Public Café is a reliable choice.

I’d give more stars if the service was better, the girl who attended our table was a not friendly, she made me hold the menu for her to clean it, she spilled water on my dad and laughed about it, then she asked to take the menus , i said yes, she repeated herself but bit rude. The place was full and of course is understable the stress people working here can be but they need to offer a good service to clients. We only had drinks and they were yummy! Id still recommend it but being aware to go in not busy days or hours !!

Food was delicious, nice view, AC , service was very slow though. You could try their Greek beer if you buy city sightseeing tickets. It was nice to try that !

My first time visiting Athens Greece by far the most amazing and well seasoned food. I had the steak and tried my daughter’s sweet chili chicken. My waiter George was outstanding! Definitely a most have food. Also dessert was excellent.

This cafe has a strategic location and a beautiful view! Stop and watch the main meeting point of Athens - Syntagma Square (Greek: Πλατεία Συντάγμάμα), or Constitution Square, is where almost all of Athens' main thoroughfares lead. The food is great, excellent coffee and desserts. Nice staff. Definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
