Cafe serving smoothies & Greek yogurts with locally sourced toppings, fruit preserves & honey....
Fresko offers three varieties of Greek yogurt with plenty of topping options to choose from. I’ve never particularly enjoyed honey, but paired with their fresh and flavorful yogurt, it tasted amazing. The quality is definitely there. That said, the prices feel slightly on the higher side. Paying €5.50 for a small cup seemed a bit expensive. They also serve gelato, though we didn’t try it. Overall, the place is cute and has a nice atmosphere.
They call it 'traditional Greek yoghurt', and yes, it’s popular. But let's be clear: this is not how Greeks eat yoghurt. Three types of yoghurt topped with layers of jam, cashew nuts and sugar is a fantasy created for tourists, not a typical Athenian breakfast. The staff are overly friendly, almost suspiciously so. Receipts don’t come out at the till, and if you pay attention, you'll notice that the prices seem rather flexible. The total for the first visit somehow doesn't agree with the total for the second visit. Same order, different total. It's magic, but not the good kind. The interior is bright and cheerful and very Instagram-ready. Yet there’s nowhere to actually sit and eat. It's a place that looks authentic, but isn't. It's a yoghurt costume party. If you actually want Greek yoghurt, the supermarket is the honest choice. Plain yoghurt for one euro, no performance, no confusion. Yogurt doesn't need drama. This shop has plenty of that — and that's exactly the problem.
WOW! Maybe the best Greek yogurt I’ve ever tasted! I took the “Greek escape” and it was absolutely delicious! The honey that they have is top quality
Nice Greek yogurt snack, you can choose a yogurt menu item or pick your own toppings. Overall a bit expensive for what is was. But conveniently located along a popular walking street, only about 2 places to sit outside but you go sit across the street easily on a sunny day.
Delicious yogurt. So smooth and creamy. Lots of toppings. We tried a couple of their favorites the Greek escape and a taste of Athens. Both were really good. We did prefer the one with fruit in it. So if choosing toppings fruit is a great addition and every fruit we have had in Athens tastes amazing. We were in a line after about 4 people and it took about 10 minutes.
