Wakuli

This is not a specialty coffee place. They use an automatic machine and the coffee tastes bad — nothing close to specialty coffee.

Here, in Amsterdam Oost, where you'll find a coffee place every 10 steps you take, Wakuli in Linneausstraat is clearly the #1 spot. Not only in terms of its quality, organic, and reasonably priced coffee, but also in terms of great service and good vibes. Shout out to the amazing barista's here (specifically Pauline & Sylvia!), who bring a smile to all visitors every day. PS. So happy that you guys still serve espresso out of a real cup. Unlike those plastic-only places you find elsewhere in the city!

Friendly local spot with lovely service! The coffee is fine but nothing special. The oatmilk was free though, so that’s nice. The pain au chocolat was a bit dry.

The cinnamon bun was very dry. The cookie tasted very different (had a salty nice taste to it) and nice, but was a bit too oily. The coffee wasn’t really anything extraordinary either. It’s a good place to go in the neighborhood if you don’t have high expectations. Has very few tables to sit, especially inside. The staff was nice and helpful. Prices were good, and the atmosphere is overall cute. Might go again.

The coffee is really good of course, but the coffee ice cream is also highly recommended! The sweetness of the ice cream matched the bitterness of the coffee bean flakes. The price is reasonable and I hope there will be a shop near my place.
