I visited this place for three drinks in the beginning of March 2026. In total: a latte, a macchiato caramel, and a matcha latte. The latte was the best of the three. The coffee was okay, and execution of the latte was pretty good. This drink left me with the impression of a 4/5. Next was macchiato caramel. For this drink, I expect it to be a latte macchiato with the addition of a syrup and caramel decoration. In terms of flavor, I could taste the sweetness in the foam added. However, the liquid part was quite watery, and it did not have consistency of the previously tasted latte / milk. I genuinely couldn't taste milk in it. It felt like americano with possibly some milk, and the alla caramel twist. That was a clear 2/5. Next drink I had was matcha latte. This one had recognizable milk taste, with more puffiness than I would expect (a lot of foaming, little liquid) and not as much matcha as I am used to. This could have worked, if the puffiness did not get in the way of actually tasting well either the milk or matcha. I have to go for a 2/5 for this drink as well. For the prices of those beverages, I would expect much higher quality. Unfortunately, all drinks except the latte have fallen short of that. It's why it is an overall very weak 3/5 from me. The staff struck me as a bit rushy, e.g. asking me what I want to order while I was still busy examining their boards, and non-proactive about examining the macchiato caramel for the watery texture when I brought it up. E.g., asking "can I see it?" would have left a great impression. The highest selling point of this place is the atmosphere they offer. If you target low-traffic times, you can get quite a pleasant place to be! The music was mid-loud, and there were more and less loud parts of the place.
A vvvvv nice, decent, comfy place to work and studyy! (It’s laptop friendly and they have plenty of seatssss) i think the interior is well designed 🛋️🩵 they have a lot of interesting menu ranging from coffee to matcha! We ordered the matcha cortado & matcha americano and it was interestingly gooooood 🍵 plenty of pastry and bites to eat as well! (And they do sell their fantastic beans, chasen, and other souvenirs) cuteeee!
☕ Filter Coffee (Colombia) The filter coffee opens with a vibrant lemon acidity, followed by raspberry sweetness and the elegant, delicate character of white tea. The overall profile is very refined, clean, and transparent. However, there is a slight lingering bitterness on the finish, which brings the experience down a bit for my personal taste. While the bean itself is well chosen and expressive, this aftertaste prevents it from being fully satisfying. Filter coffee rating: 8/10 ⸻ ☕ Cappuccino The cappuccino was outstanding. The milk-to-coffee ratio was perfectly balanced—neither the milk nor the coffee dominated the cup. The latte art was visually excellent, and the foam level on top was exactly as it should be: not excessive, not lacking. One of the most impressive aspects was the structural stability of the cappuccino. Even though I drank it slowly, the latte art did not break down, and the foam collapsed evenly and consistently all the way to the bottom. This clearly reflects proper milk texturing and a well-executed extraction. The temperature was also spot on—served hot, but never lukewarm or uncomfortable. The bean choice worked beautifully with milk; unlike the filter coffee, I did not perceive any bitterness here. On the contrary, the coffee integrated seamlessly with the milk. Another detail worth highlighting was their flexibility: although we wanted to drink from a large cup, they prepared the cappuccino with a medium ratio specifically for us, instead of refusing outright. This kind of customer-oriented approach is rare and genuinely important, as many places simply do not accommodate such requests. Cappuccino rating: 9/10 ⸻ 👥 Staff & Service The baristas’ English was excellent—clear, confident, and professional. At the same time, they were cheerful, friendly, and full of positive energy. Singing, smiling, and genuinely enjoying what they do, they created a vibrant atmosphere that naturally transfers to the guests and elevates the entire experience. ⸻ 🎶 Atmosphere & Brand Identity The music selection perfectly matched my personal taste, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The brand’s pink and green color palette reflects its personality beautifully—fresh, energetic, and inviting. Overall, the atmosphere and brand identity are very well aligned. ⸻ Final Thoughts Overall, I truly enjoyed the experience. The cappuccino clearly stands out as a highlight, while the filter coffee, despite having a strong and high-quality bean, falls slightly behind due to the lingering bitterness on the finish. The staff’s energy, service quality, and the café’s atmosphere make this a place I would gladly return to.
LOT61 is one of my favourite coffee spots in the city, located inside the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, right by Amsterdam Centraal Station, the vibrant, colourful decor is super cool and really stands out, it feels so relaxed, yet also suitable for a community/social atmosphere, or whether you’re just looking to get some work done or rest your feet while sightseeing or waiting for a train. I visited LOT61 daily during my recent trip to Amsterdam. The coffee here is pretty good, and the prices are reasonable. A Large Cold Brew Latte with some syrup would cost €5.5 The staff seemed friendly and spoke English in order to take my order, and the service was pretty quick. I would prefer ordering kiosks, though, as they did make a small mistake by forgetting the syrup on my first visit, although they did put this right without a fuss after I let them know. The Cold Brew is actually pretty good here. I did want to try the Cold Brew Spritz, which was being advertised outside, but wasn’t on the menu. The syrups were fine, although I’ve had better; it would have been nice to see them offer more festive flavours/drinks as I visited close to Christmas. Overall, the vibes inside this place are pretty cool, the coffee is good, and the prices are reasonable too, and I would return.
Food is ok in general as coffee is warm enough. We order simple sandwiches as well as banana cake + croissant. Staff miss hear we want “almond croissant” while we say “normal croissant”. When we explain again and staff he just ask us take almond croissant as taste good as well as he says we didn’t tell clearly ? 😅😅 When my coffee not finish yet and staff he also want to collect it back ? 🤦🏻♀️😮💨😅 he must have bad morning so being so moody 😂😂😂
