Libertine

Dire service, nice enough place decent soup but the rest never arrived. When we said we had to leave after waiting 1.5 hours we were told it was our fault because we asked for the main course to arrive after the soup. When charged for food we didn’t get, change was pulled out of the cash register and hurled on the counter with a comical display of petulance. It may be trying to achieve French cafe stylishness but without the competence.

Always a warm bath at Libertine. The people who work there are extremely friendly, the food is super French bistro; the eggs Benedict, the fish and risotto are my favorite and all the snacks are great. The basics, like the French fries, the daily fresh bread and the salads are all top. They serve the best beer; Stella Artois. It is as if you are in Paris; so reads the menu as well.

We had the best experience ever, Mena was super sweet and helped us out with a table even on such a busy day. such a queeennnnnn 10/10

This is a beautiful cafe near the jordan area. I ordered the eggs norwegian, which was one of the best I had. My friend ordered steak sandwich which she loved as well. Her fries were exceptional. The outdoors area is very cozy, facing the lively streets of Amsterdam. The cafe makes you feel fancy. Didn’t think that the service was exceptional and our food arrived a bit late, but it wasn’t something that would ruin our mood. It was a lovely experience and would love to go again.

At first I’ve checked the reviews and they were not that great, but as soon as I saw a perfect table on a sunny terrace I could not resist. I must say that I’ve had one of the best French Toasts in the city and absolutely delicious Eggs Benedict. I was there for brunch after the Noorden Market on Monday. Service was friendly and attentive, prices are reasonable, the restaurant was busy. Definitely would come back again!
