Hummingbird Amsterdam

I visited Hummingbird Coffee, about a 15-minute walk from Amsterdam Central, and it was well worth it. The café has a nice, slightly hippie-inspired design with a real personal feel to the environment. It’s the kind of place that feels relaxed and welcoming as soon as you walk in. The coffees were good quality and reasonably priced. The cakes were also excellent, I had a blondie and my partner chose the chocolate cake, and both were really tasty. Overall, a great vibe and atmosphere. Definitely somewhere I’d recommend if you’re in Amsterdam and looking for a relaxed spot for coffee and cake.

I stumbled upon Hummingbird Coffee completely by accident while looking for a spot to charge my phone, and naturally, I couldn’t resist grabbing a coffee while I was there. What a lucky find! Hummingbird isn’t your typical coffee spot, they rotate beans from top roasters worldwide and offer a monthly guest roaster, so there’s always something new to try. I went for a cold brew, and it was fantastic: strong but smooth, full of rich, nuanced flavors. Bonus points: dogs are allowed, and I even ran into one super cute one while I was there. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions about the beans and brewing methods!

Excellent V60 here .. very vibrant aroma, well made. Staff: very nice. Apple pie: excellent, one of the best. View: street view, a fair city view. Recommended 👍🏼

I had a cinnamon bun when it was just out of the oven: AMAZING! The cappuccino was great too. The ladies are nice and welcoming. The vibe of the shop is cool. Highly recommended

Best chai latte I had in Amsterdam! After my fav café closed I tried a few others and I’m so glad I stopped my Hummingbird today after a book tour spontaneously. It’s really the best, definitely coming back! They also have cakes & cookies which looked really good and I’ll try next time.
