Cafe Het Paleis

A true gem of a cafe! We discovered this place by accident one evening and returned twice on subsequent days for coffee. For our dinner had the cauliflower soup and the burger. Both were delicious. The atmosphere was cosy, the staff very friendly and accommodating, and the service excellent.

Me and my boyfriend were trapped in sense of finding a place to eat, lots of highly sought cafes recommended by tourists online being full. Or unwilling to find us a table. This place was welcoming, a lovely menu too, very much appreciated. Not all meat! My sandwich was gorgeous and thought the quality of the bread was amazing. Well deserved for the price you pay :) thanks for making my holiday more joyful.

Great local coffeeshop with authentic vibes. The apple cake is amazing and the coffee is good. Stayed here to work for the morning and ended up getting their pea soup, which felt really home cooked. Good to escape the tourist crowds nearby.

Nice position on side of the canal, just outside of really busy areas. Good tasting food and good choice of drinks. Tables inside and outside. Good service.

Great spot in the centre. Usually I’m not the biggest fan of places in the city centre, but this one was very nice. We just had something to drink and some snacks, and it tasted good. They obviously have bitterballen, and they tasted nice. The bread plate was also good, especially with the truffle sauce. Another pro, is that they have the afternoon sun, which is amazing. Also decent prices.
