Hortus Café

a really cute cafe in the botanical gardens, we really appreciated that the whole menu was vegetarian and had clearly marked vegan options! all our food and drinks were great, we had the soup of the day, a grilled cheese, two coffees and homemade iced tea and they were all delicious! very friendly servers as well :)

A hidden gem in the heart of Amsterdam! The restaurant in the Botanical Garden offers a truly wonderful atmosphere — surrounded by greenery. The service was exceptional: attentive, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. I had the daily quiche, which was absolutely delicious, and the apple pie was simply outstanding — one of the best I've had in a long time. Highly recommended for a relaxing and tasty lunch break.

Be mindful that this place is located in botanical gardens so you need to buy ticket to enter (13€). All the dishes we got at the cafe were flavorful and delicious; fresh and healthy ingredients. Overall dining experience was very peaceful and made me happy :)

Great service and good food. The place has a nice and calm atmosphere and you get away from the city within the city. The café’s location and building is astonishing. The café have a great selection of cakes that tastes good and is a must try if you are there.
