Although the place is great, the service is very poor and slow. We wanted to order snacks along with our beer and drinks (borrel), but they limited the service between 14:30-17:00.
Very nice atmospheric cafe. We took a table outside - it was very nice. Delicious food and coffee, pleasant polite service. I recommend.
Really nice place to have lunch in Gouda! When we went there they didn't have any spots outside anymore but inside there was still a lot of space! Great food, attentive waitresses and adorable decor!
The staff is super friendly, but the place wasnβt very full and we still had to wait over 30 mins. The food was ok, but a small soup really is small! Itβs basically a little water glass half full of soup. And the summer salad is a cup full of green leads, a hands full of croutons and minuscule feta pieces with a small slice of melon. The size of a side salad with the price of a full plate. Also vegetarian options are rare. Nothing vegan. Heavy on bread.
Location: really nice. It's right next to the church, in a very charming nook, outside of the Gouda museum. The outdoor terrace is spacious and with the good weather is really pleasant. Food-wise it's ok, good quality but nothing exceptional. I would have liked a little more care for the details. The service is a low point: they are just likely understaffed which leads to long waits. In our case, 35 minutes for two sandwiches. The price is more in line with The Hague than with Gouda.
