I just completed a professional module in Spatial Visualization at the Artemis Academy – a truly instructive experience. These lessons were taught by inspiring professionals in the field, with impressive track records. The sessions on using AI in this field were also incredibly relevant and directly applicable in practice. The combination of creativity, vision, and a touch of technology was exactly what I was looking for to further my development. And what a beautiful new building Artemis has – if I could repeat my bachelor's degree, I would have loved to take a creative program at this academy.
I started the evening module at Artemis alongside my job. During the orientation, I received very professional advice and guidance on what would best suit me to deepen my knowledge. You can feel the passion of the staff.
As an interior design student, I was assigned to a media class at a very expensive and poor school. After six months, we were only taught media subjects, and after six months, there was still no attention paid to interior design. The word wasn't even mentioned in class. Drawing was also replaced (without mentioning it) with graphic design. Then, when you mention this dissatisfaction and miss the interior design aspect of the school's curriculum, it's the student's fault. Besides tuition, you're expected to have everything printed in top quality, have an SLR camera, and much more (count on at least €300 extra per month). A total of eight students from the interior design class dropped out before the end of the year. I don't think this is the fault of the student, but the school's, in my opinion. Such a shame, because I was so eager to learn about interior design.
Before you start the program: experience with InDesign is highly recommended (course, etc.). While no lessons are taught, you are expected to complete large-scale assignments in it. Also, be aware that you'll be spending a significant amount of money beyond tuition. Besides purchasing a camera, laptop, paint, brushes, paper, supplies, printer, and printer ink (which runs out very quickly), you'll also have to spend a significant amount of money at print shops during the assessment weeks (a few hundred euros). I wanted to mention this because it's not specified, and I think it's very important to know and factor it into your decision. I personally would have appreciated knowing this beforehand. Furthermore, there's a very special, close-knit atmosphere at Artemis where everyone feels truly at home. That's something you won't often encounter at other "normal" schools. Don't underestimate the workload either. You'll be given many large assignments simultaneously, but also some really fun ones where you can truly express your creativity. Anything goes! I don't mean this message negatively, but in my opinion it is indispensable information.
Smart students with fresh ideas and great style.
