We went down to walk around the market and decided to stop somewhere for lunch. This place looked nice as it had outdoor seating both in the sun and the shade. We opted for the shade, sat down and took a while to get recognized and brought out some water. There happen to be a person next to us chain smoking so we decided to go inside to eat. Once again, it took a few moments for somebody to come by and get our drink order and then take our lunch order. The place was busy with just one bartender and one food server working. Our meals arrived, hot and fresh, all parties enjoyed the food with good size portions.

We stopped by AMI, a French café-restaurant in Amsterdam, and had a great time on the terrace. We originally went just for drinks and ordered a bottle of Crémant. The service was friendly and welcoming, no complaints at all. We also tried bitterballen. They’re deep-fried, warm inside, and honestly, perfect with drinks. Definitely more of a Dutch specialty, but a great discovery. We didn’t have a full meal, so I can’t comment on the food, but for drinks and snacks, it’s a great spot with a nice atmosphere and solid selection.

Did a semi private event at AMI & everything was well organized. We did the Sip & Paint as well as the 3-course dinner. Food was incredible and great big portions which was nice since many restaurants have such small portions these days. Staff was wonderful & very helpful. A recommendation. Thank you!

We wandered in after a long day of travel. Service was great. Seated a table for 6 within minutes. Food was high quality and great price. It’s a good find! Lots of beer on tap and excellent cocktails! Atmosphere is a bit noisy but it’s to be expected.
