They hand make their matcha so you know they’ve got craft and pride. I ordered the chocolate cookie matcha with coconut milk and it was so good for a winter night. The owner/staff is also super friendly.

I was drawn to this place by the trend of fruit-shaped desserts and the aesthetics certainly delivered. The café is beautifully designed and the staff were warm and friendly. Unfortunately, the desserts didn’t live up to their presentation or price. At €9–10 per small dessert, one expects a great quality. Instead, the flavors and craftsmanship felt inconsistent and underwhelming, especially compared to similar spots in De Pijp. The “fruit” shapes only loosely resembled their inspirations, missing distinctive details that would make them recognizable. The creams were made with vanilla extract rather than real vanilla, and the fillings lacked freshness, the strawberry filling in particular tasted like store bought jam rather than something made with real fruit. We tried the pistachio, strawberry, and blueberry desserts, the last two were noticeably disappointing, with five of us unable to finish all of the desserts. I will say that the coffee was good and not to high a price point for what I got. For three small coffees and three desserts, I paid €41 quite steep, even by Amsterdam standards. I appreciate that this is a young business finding its footing, but when prices reach this level, consistency and quality should match the ambition. I hope to come again in the future as I know improvements are always made later down the line.

Definitely worth the hype!!!! Omg the sweets here are amazing! Loved the strawberry flavor and the passion fruit flavor the most. I do want to try other flavors as well but for now the passion fruit was super fresh and refreshing and paired well with the chocolate coating, the strawberry filling was also super delicious and not too sweet. We also got the matcha which was nice, i dont really recommend it with the pumpkin spice syrup, it was not the best taste. But the matcha itself is good!

August 2025 A new place (aug-'25), the old French pastry shop made place for a coffee shop also offering some 'fruit' pastries, muffins and puff pastry to go with coffee. Serving Lot61 and make a real good cappuccino, finally some coffee taste in the cappuccino. An order screen in the shop, nice furniture and now you can also sit in the shop with a few seats outside and a real nice bowl for the dogs to get some water ;-). Family behind the counter I really hope they will do well.
