Weird place in my opinion. Don't come here. Their french onion soup was a disgrace to french cuisine. Chicken didn't taste good, fries were stale. But the bread was at least fresh! Staff wasn't nice. Bad ethics and an attitude. They tried to make us pay more untill i asked to see the check.

The menu looked good so we decided to try the restaurant. First, they scam you on water. We requested, in French, a carafe of water and were told they don’t do that and that we would need to purchase bottled water. When requested, tap water is supposed to be given free of charge in Paris. The waiter solicited for a tip at the end f the meal. Tips should be given when the service is good, but asking for one just seems dirty. And the food, it was awful. My wife could not eat the steak part of her steak frites and when I tasted it I understood why, the steak was tough and tasteless. My foie gras was tasteless and my meal forgettable. In all, a typical tourist scam spot, the kind that gives Paris a bad name. Avoid! There are so many places that do not scam tourists and where the food is delicious.

We visited in September. First meal first experience of food in Paris, very disappointing . The beef steak was so dry and overcooked although we asked for medium done . It was surprised as the waiter actually asked us how we want our steak done! Other food was ok.

The real selling point is the service and atmosphere. After traveling, it was nice to find a friendly server who spoke English and welcomed me in. He was very sweet. I enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciated that the place was still lively at midnight. In terms of the food, the snails were great. I really wanted to try the duck but that server was such a great salesman - he kept telling me how soft the steak was and how it was a must try. So I got the steak and I regretted it. That had to have been some of the worst steak I’ve ever had. It was so tough. It was a poor cut. I could accept the poor quality as the steak was only €30. The steak came with a delicious sweet and tangy cream sauce. The pasta side was well cooked.

This establishment is a rip off. They overcharged for a flank of steak and chips (potato fries). Additionally overcharged for a “medium” Heineken totaling €44 for one person which is ridiculous given the food. Then lastly the waiter had the courage to ask for a tip as well and was rude when I told him that I was not going to tip. I’d take your business anywhere else besides this establishment, especially if all your getting is mediocre food
