Fashionable destination specializing in African food, plus salads, cocktails & desserts....
This was my third time coming here when I’m in Paris, and honestly, I left disappointed.I really wanted to like it and support it, but the food just didn’t meet my expectations. I ordered thieboudienne, and it didn’t taste or look like thieb at all. It felt like the dish had been adapted too much, almost Europeanized, and that takes away from the authenticity and depth that African cuisine is known for. The service was also underwhelming. It didn’t feel very warm or attentive, which made the overall experience even more disappointing. I came with the intention of supporting what I believed might be a Black-owned business, so this experience felt even more frustrating. There’s real potential here, but the execution just isn’t there yet. I hope improvements can be made because the concept itself deserves better.
We had a good time. The waiters were nice and attentive and the food was good
The meal was okay. However, the food was too pricey and beyond the reasonable range. Good live music and DJ music uplifting the enviroment and making my stay thoroughly enjoayble. This was the highlight of my visit to Villa Maasai. There were a lot of issues reconciling the bill, we noticed that there were additional bills for items we didn't order that were added. It just felt like a shady act by the staff member that attended us. Good place, great atmosphere and ambience but a lot more can be done price-wise and experience-wise.
Best Friend Birthday Time all the way from Texas! We enjoyed the atmosphere, staff and live DJ. It was eighteen of us and we ordered from the group menu. We were given one glass of champagne, each table received one tray of appetizers and each person had one choice of food chicken, lamb or fish. We all paid 60-70 per person and tips were not included.
I read reviews for hours before preparing for our finale anniversary meal in Paris . Most reviews spoke of the food being good but not enough . I’m not A big eater so I decided to try . Our food was decent at best . Saw pricing before I arrived so I wasn’t surprised but mi literally paid 45 euros for a leg and a thigh and some microwaved rice. Our sever dropped off appetizers and I asked for pepper sauce and explained I can’t eat with out it . lol he never returned . A food runner brought our room temperature food and left as quick as he appeared . Nice music loud but nice . Drinks 15 euros . I will never return even for free .
