An absolutely exceptional experience. I had the tiramisu milk chocolate, and it was incredible. The texture, the richness of the cocoa, and the perfect balance with the tiramisu flavor made it feel like much more than a simple hot chocolate, it was a true indulgent experience. You can immediately taste the quality of the ingredients. My wife had the large cappuccino, and it was just as outstanding. Perfectly textured foam, bold yet smooth coffee, exactly what you dream of when you think about an authentic Italian café. A big plus: they offer different milk options (oat milk, almond milk, and soy milk), making it suitable for everyone without compromising on quality. The setting is beautiful and authentic, the kind of elegant Italian café atmosphere you imagine when you’re not living in Italy. And a special thank you to Claudio, our waiter, who was absolutely exceptional, warm, attentive, and professional. He truly made the experience even more memorable. A must visit spot in Rome.

Our waiter, Lorenzo, is awesome. He made it easy to order and fun for the kids. When we sat down he even brought out his phone to show us pictures of some of his recommendations—chicken panini, pancakes, sandwiches, omelets. He didn’t rush us to order and gave us ample time to make up our mind and was patient when the kids changed their minds a few times. All throughout this, he had a smile on his face. I really appreciate the patience and dedication to customer service. Now onto the food, everything we ordered was delicious and was promptly devoured. Literally there was nothing left on our plates or cups. It’s that good. Drinks: Cafe 1919 is delicious and sweet. Italian coffee has booze and super strong, but still delicious. Espresso with dark chocolate is strong and right on. Food: Pancakes with pistachio and Nutella are a hit with the family, especially the kids. Each order comes with its own plate of mixed fruits. Caviar mayo bite was so good—the little piece of lime added the citrus balance to perfect the side. There’s plenty of pastries like chocolate crescent and sandwiches to choose from. I just wish I found this sooner, we would’ve dropped by more often sooner.

I had a wonderful time at this café. The atmosphere is cozy, the drinks are great, and the service is excellent. A special shout-out to Lorenzo, who is an extremely kind and helpful server. He made the whole experience even better with his warm attitude and great hospitality. If you visit, please look for Lorenzo—he will take good care of you! Highly recommended. ☕✨

It can get a bit crowded, but it makes perfect sense- it's that special and yummy! I felt very welcome...good service and staff are so kind. Even with my beginner Italian. I wish we had this in Ireland. I went twice for my short trip to Rome. I'd go back again and again. I got the Caffè con Cioccolata both times. They make it a beautiful work of art and I was sad the next one had to be to-go. Still yummy. And a dessert to try is the Maritozzo.

Absolutely favourite cafe in Rome, very handy as I've stayed twice in the Prati area (both this year and last.) I couldn't have any higher praise, actions speak louder than words and I visited nearly daily both years where itinerary allowed. Excellent choice of hot drinks, pastries, savoury food and perfect service. Customers always put first as we had asked for help to book a taxi but they took time to explain how to get the metro to the airport for much cheaper. Lorezno is absolutely fabulous and his customer service is second to none!
