Weekday mornings are the quietest
Amazing cozy cafe, nice coffee and food. Waiter is really nice. 10/10 i recommend. The waiter recommended me an amazing cake and it really impressed me.
Everything was great about this coffee shop. The host lady, the decoration and the green tea. Accepting cards would make it perfect.
Incredibly cute... €6.30 for my pain au chocolat and Viennese coffee, just how I was to enjoy my morning
It scores some real sentimental points with me. It looks like one of those cozy cafés in a quiet Midwestern town where a local cop might stop by while investigating a UFO sighting, you know what I mean? Or the charming cafes in American sitcoms—something about it reminds me of Café Nervosa from Frasier, which I’ve always held dear. I’ve been searching for my own version of Café Casa Nova for years, and I think Short Break might be the closest thing to that in Vienna. Quaint, simple, familiar—tucked right into the corner of your day, inviting you to sit, zone out, and entertain half-formed, pseudo-intellectual thoughts. The food is decent. The staff is friendly, to a point. And it’s cash only.
My experience with this place was 5 star. We had breakfast and it was more than delicious. The sandwiches are perfect.
