Cute cafe near the Galata Tower with friendly staff and a strong brunch menu including omelettes and avocado toast. Good...
I had breakfast at Dukkan Galata, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, I couldn’t drink the matcha latte I ordered because it was very lumpy and not well prepared. As a big matcha fan, that was quite disappointing, so I had to send it back. However, the staff handled the situation very nicely and kindly offered me tea instead, which I really appreciated. Despite the issue with the matcha, the service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience.
Very friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome right away. The breakfast was delicious. Special shoutout to the breakfast burrito and the mushrooms on toast, both were excellent. Coffee was exceptional too. Would happily come back!
We had breakfast at Dukkan Galata in Istanbul and really enjoyed the experience. We ordered two breakfast plates (700 TL each), a salmon toast, and a Dukkan wrap, along with four coffees. Everything was tasty, fresh, and clearly handmade — excellent quality and presentation. The service was friendly, and the place has a nice and cozy atmosphere. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put care into their food. However, the only downside is the price. We paid around €77 for four breakfasts, which is very expensive, not only for locals but even for tourists. Overall, the food was excellent, but be aware that it’s quite pricey for what you get.
The food is amazing and the portions are well served. The waitress who helped us (the girl with nice tattoos) is very friendly. She made me a tasty hot chocolate and I forgot my previous bad experience in another place! 😂 Highly recommend! xx
Our first breakfast in Istanbul was at Dükkan Galata, a cozy café in the Beyoğlu/Galata area, conveniently located just next to our hotel. The concept is somewhere between a breakfast spot and a light lunch place. The menu offers both classic breakfast options and creative choices such as avocado toast, matcha bowls, homemade granola, various sandwiches, and several vegan-friendly dishes. The interior is simple but cozy, with a few tables inside and outside. The staff is friendly and speaks good English. The dishes are presented beautifully and are very Instagram-worthy. Prices are above average: my Avocado Dream was 850 TL, while my husband’s Dükkan Wrap cost 525 TL. The location is excellent — just a short walk from the Galata Tower and the charming streets of Galata/Shishhane, making it a great stop before sightseeing in the area. Address: Tatar Beyi Sokak 15/B, Müeyyetzade, Beyoğlu, Istanbul Opening hours: weekdays 08:30–18:00, weekends until 19:00
