I went here relatively late around 16:40 (place closed at 17:30) and ordered their cold brew with a shot of soy milk and a poppyseed cheesecake. It cost me 9,80โฌ, which I think is nowadays pretty average given the location of this place plus other financial factors. Overall, their cold brew was pretty alright, I thought it wasn't bad at all. But the poppyseed cheesecake? Intense. I usually go for milder desserts so that's why I probably didn't like it as much as I wanted to BUT if you are the type of person, who does like that type of cake , then I'd recommend it. The seating area was pretty big, I'd say. They have around 20 seats inside but more outside as well. The variety of their desserts is pretty big as well with cheesecakes, cakes, pastries and also "bread" slices. They also have cookies and offer bread slices with toppings. Many people were complaining about the costs of additional oat and soy milk, which I understand, but if it isn't over 1โฌ, I have no reason to complain. Regarding the atmosphere or ~the vibes~ if say it's okay? The place is clean, chill music is playing but the noise level remains pretty quiet. I don't know if I'll return here, but I can imagine this place getting more crowded when it's hot.
Tasty cake, but overpriced for what you get The coffee and cake tasted good; the cake was actually delicious. However, it feels pretty pricey for the experience. They charge an extra 40 cents for oat milk, and the cappuccino was tiny (literally like a 3-sip cappuccino). Also, for those prices, you really don't expect self-service.
Perfect recommendation from the barista once I explained what kind of coffee I like. Unfortunately there was a renovation when I was there so couldnโt really enjoy it in peace because of all the noise. They also had a taster lemon cake too at the tills and that was a bit too sweet so I did not order any desserts.
If you want to have spectacular cappuccinos, Vogel Kaffee is truly the place to be. Located in the university residential area close to the WU Wien, the shop alternates regularly its coffee types, proposing single origins and blends. When I was there, I got two cappuccinos with single origin Arabicas from Brazil and the results surpassed all expectations. If the coffee is excellent, the cappuccino is almost without concurrence, offering spectacular latte art. Despite the fact that the place is not located in the most beautiful area of Vienna, I strongly recommend it!
Hands down one of my favorite modern coffee places in Vienna. Everything a coffee enthusiast would like to have and more. The staff is extremely friendly, more than happy to explain and show the coffee brewing process, be it hand brew or machine, hot or iced. In addition there is a small but well thought out selection of sweet and savory snacks with seasonal changing menu. Love their cakes ๐
