This place is packed, we walked upstairs and found the table and the waitress was very good and efficient in taking our order. The cake was so good but the lemonade was very refreshing and surprisingly went very well with the cake. Don't be discouraged by the chaos, it is worth the effort.

This terrific place is just up from St Stephen’s cathedral in Vienna and has traditional Austrian cakes and delicious coffee. The staff are all ages and dressed in traditional clothes which looks great. There is an upstairs section which is marvellous and has all the same fare as downstairs. Our tour guide recommended it as one of the three best traditional coffee venues. We ordered cakes too and the hot chocolate with whipped cream was sensational. It was a great introduction to Vienna.

As a first time tourist to Vienna, I almost didn’t eat the Sachertorte as there’s so many reviews at famous coffee houses about how dry or not special it is. But after much reading, I found my way here and it made me like this cake a lot - the cake is tasty, apricot jam is lovely and you need to have the dollop of whip cream to balance it all out. I had every last bite except the chocolate was too sweet, but otherwise was absolutely delicious with no regrets! Staff is really friendly for a traditional coffee house.

Went here to sooth my sweet tooth with a sachertorte. It was delicious. Perfectly chocolatey and sweet from the apricot filling. Staff's English is a bit rusty so be patient with them, can't expect everyone to know English after all!

I recently visited this classic café and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and charming—perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. They serve incredibly delicious cakes that perfectly complement their well-brewed coffee. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Prices are also quite reasonable for the quality and service offered. Highly recommend!
