Kaffee Alt Wien

The cafe is located conveniently in the very centre of Wien but compared to nearby places, for example such as Figlmüller, has no long queues, nevertheless perfectly expressing an atmosphere of an Austrian culture and cuisine. We were in a hurry and kindly asked a waiter to serve our table as quick as he can, so he brought all the meals in 5 or 10 mins. Food was very nice. We payed €60 for four meals and two beverages. I highly recommend the place for tourists.

If you're looking for the quintessential Vienna atmosphere, Kaffee Alt Wien is the place to be. It’s cozy, nostalgic, and full of character. The apple strudel was the highlight of my visit—absolutely delicious and perfectly made. Highly recommended!

Ordered apple strudel with vanilla sauce, Kasespatzle, Szeged Goulash, and two coffees. Great atmosphere to chill. Vintage feel to the bones. Love it ♥️

Amazing food, friendly and efficient service even with the crowd. A bit pricier because of the tourist location, but the cafe has its own vibe and personality. Excellent tasting, generous portions and plus points for the apple strudel served piping hot!

We took part in a guided tour and our guide Michael recommended this place and because he was born in Vienna and obviouslyhas lived here so we followed his advice. Great atmosphere, awesome food and such a helpful waiter who patiently survived my basic German. We ate schnitzel, kartifeln, drank a lot of water and Wiener coffee. I can recommend it as well. It was worth visiting.
