Owner's behavior toward customers is unacceptable. I have visited this café many times before, and my experience with the staff has generally been positive. The employees were polite, calm, and respectful. Unfortunately, the behavior of the owner is the complete opposite and, in my view, unacceptable. In the past, I have already witnessed the owner treating customers very rudely, openly accusing them of ordering too little and staying too long. Today, I became the target of the same kind of behavior. I respect other people and I like to support good local businesses. Today I had an important Zoom call and came to this café. It was a weekend, and laptops are normally not allowed at that time. Since I would have taken the call on my phone anyway, I politely asked the staff for an exception for about 50 minutes. They told me they understood my situation and that it was fine. I thanked them, ordered a drink, left a tip, and started my meeting in a good mood. With seven minutes left in the call, the owner entered the café and demanded that I close my laptop immediately. I said that I would explain the situation, expecting a reasonable and human conversation, especially since I was still in the middle of a call and felt very uncomfortable in front of the other participant. She refused to listen and walked away, sending two employees to me, who politely asked me to comply. I told them that I had no issues with them and would prefer to speak directly with the owner. When she returned, she continued to demand that I close the laptop, refusing a calm two-minute conversation. She accused me of “acting like the boss,” although all I was asking for was basic human understanding and seven minutes to finish an important call. At some point, she even accused me of drinking water from my own bottle, which made no sense, especially considering that the café offers free water. Finally, she took a photo of me without my consent and told me that I would no longer be served in this café. When I demanded that the photo be deleted, as storing such images without consent is not legal, she claimed she had done nothing. When I continued to ask for a calm, respectful dialogue, she refused and, smiling, called me “poor guy.” I left the café and will never spend my money there again. No one deserves to be treated in such a degrading and inhumane way. P.S.: If you still consider spending your money here, I recommend reading the other one-star reviews as well. Many of them describe similar experiences with the owner’s behavior.
A very uncomfortable place — seating is tight, the seats are poorly secured, and the tables are tiny. The coffee tasted sour and unpleasant. The desserts (we had a cinnamon roll and a strawberry pie) lacked flavor — it felt like eating sorghum. I don't feel like coming back, and I wouldn't recommend it.
Good coffee and nice, industrial-style space. Drinks are more expensive than most other specialty shops in the area, but still comparable. There was definitely a weird vibe, like something was off a bit or missing. The wifi required a unique token/password that you had to get on a little slip of paper from the staff, and was limited to an hour. Not really a big deal, just weird for a coffee house. They must’ve had issues with people sitting in their shop all day to work and use the wifi, because there wasn’t a single person there using a computer, studying, working, etc., just ordering coffee and leaving
Good coffee spot in a nice location! The coffee is always top notch and the atmosphere is great! Have to give it four stars though as they are pretty strict on laptops for a place in Vienna and the Wi-Fi works through a code that lasts an hour. I get the reasoning, but pretty unusual for Vienna and is a hassle.
Weird atmosphere, weird people, weird staff. Even the toilettes were weird 🤣. The staff was really unpleasant. The waitress rolled her eyes when I asked for the flavor of the cheesecake. Coffee was average. We wont come back for coffee here again. The prices were a bit high too…
