Weekday mornings are the quietest
I’ve been coming here for about 3 or four years now and it’s easily my go-to coffee spot in the 8th. Josif and his wife Nelly run it themselves, and you can tell it’s a real labour of love. Josif is there most weekdays and has been in hospitality forever – in the best possible way. He’s just a genuinely kind, grounded person. He remembers faces (and coffee preferences) asks how things are going, and somehow creates that rare feeling that you’re not just another customer. In a city like Vienna, that’s special, and makes you almost feel like you’re living in a small town. The coffee is consistently great, more on the classic, chocolaty side (which I prefer over the more fruity roasts). My weekday ritual is a flat white on the way to work. On Sundays we stop by during our family walk, and our little one always gets a babyccino, always on the house. When bean prices went up everywhere a few months ago because of poor harvests, you could sense how hard it was for him to adjust prices. From the way he talked about it, it was clear this isn’t just about margins. He’s self-employed, feeding a family, and still thinking first about his customers and how this might affect them. That kind of integrity sticks with you. It’s not a traditional Viennese Kaffeehaus, it’s something else. A proper neighbourhood coffee spot. And I’m genuinely grateful it’s here.
Cozy in the winter and AC'ed in the summer. The drinks are really tasty and service is friendly too. They have charging stations for people with laptops and 2 comfy armchairs I can sink in with my book. In the summer, there are more outdoor sittings that are shaded by big trees. Shout out to Hey my coffee! My favorite spot to chill every weekend. It gets busy sometimes tho
I came in for a hot chocolate and was pleasantly surprised. It was probably the best one I’ve had in Vienna. The café felt warm and cozy, and the girl there was incredibly kind, which made the experience even nicer.
The place is small, around 4-5 tables. The coffee was really good and they offered Christmas specials with Christmas mugs giving a nice vibe.
Dropped by this cute cafe in the Bezirk 9. Spacious seating indoor and outdoor with pretty decor & comfortable seating. Decent range of coffee options and bakes. Tried the Affogato, Caramel Latte & Hot Chocolate. Affogato was simply ace. The other two were decent. Not too many vegan bites on the menu. The service was great & the place was wonderful for a catch up or to work from!
