I kinda like this place… for me it’s one of the few cafes in this city that still keeps the Viennese flair. Not to bad, not to good, not to crowded, not to loud… the waiters are just as it’s supposed to be for the Viennese cafe culture. Don’t expect to be treated like a king or a queen, just enjoy the present and surround yourself with the place.
Left unimpressed with the service to say the least. Went in needing the lavatory and they understandably charge non-guests (which I have no problem with). They wanted 70c yet I had no cash on me. Instead I opted to buy something, they were so thoroughly displeased with this request that the waiter had some sort of tantrum at me, all whilst I was more than happy with paying. I bought a bottle of water which set me back €4.50, which was either a trap because I just used the toilet or a ridiculous overcharge anyhow. Unfriendly service, overpriced drink regardless, and disgusted with the lack of accommodation. Would actively discourage potential patrons.
Stopped in here as we saw it on the corner before going into the Votive church and it had a wonderful outside sitting area, great service and great food. We order 2 bowls of pasta - Pomodoro and carbonara and both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend
This was one of the best schicel I ever tasted and I travelled all over Germany and Austria ordering the same. Nice and quite place with a good view if u sit outside. Staff is very polite and had to suffer me trying to order food in my improvised german, even though the waiter speaks fluent English 😅 Next time in Vienna, I'm coming back!!!
This place is the most disappointing one in Vienna so far. The atmosphere is really appalling, dated interior, huge tv that dominates the lounge but it's not even plugged in, uncomfortable tables, horrible looking and sticky menus, the list goes on. The service was painfully slow, I think we waited around 40 minutes for a schnitzel, and the place was basically empty, no crowd. On waiter (very polite though) and one cook, made everything take way longer than needed. The food is massively overpriced. Not bad by no means, but definitely does not justify the hefty price. Horrible sodas too. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone
