Cafe Restaurant Residenz

The place is small for a museum. The waiters takes ages to serve you even to give you the bills, we were waiting 25 mins for just paying. We ordered the vienesse soup which was terrible, unsalted and so poorly; also we had a goulash which was so dried and untastefull. We paid 30 euros for those and drinks which was a rip off . I don’t recommend it at all.

Stopped at this place to fill in some time. It was ok for a cafe really. I was seated and served really quick. The cake was a bit dry and honestly felt frozen but thats to be expected from this sort of tourist cafe. I would say fine just $$ for what it is. The cafe is out in the open near the ticket office so it was kinda loud but nothing to worry about. Aussies, the coffee here is overpriced and still not as good as home. Recommend elsewhere for good coffee.

Glad we did not see all those horrible reviews before coming here. We had great food and service, we even came back after the tour to have more food and drinks and the younger waiter (with glasses) said "Welcome Back", made us so happy with such a minor touch. We agree this is a very busy place, with very high demand and it is a monopoly and the prices won't be what you pay at a local non tourist Cafe, but it serves its purposes perfectly.

The place does not even resemble the picture which is online. It is actually rather a “train station cafe”. The food is clearly industrial and pre-prepared and the service is unpleasant and unkind. Absolutely overpriced for food that I could have actually bought at the supermarket.

*They are keeping removing my review* THEY ARE RACISTS We were going to order but they said have seats first. So we sat on the table and waited for 30 mis. The staffs took orders for everyone except for us. I FOR SURE made eye contacts for several times with staffs but they still ignored. We felt so offended so i said to a staffed that "we have been waiting for 30 mis and nobody's coming" ofc in English. Then he just answered "my friend will come soon" that was it and never came.
