Café Westend

We went there four times during our week in Vienna for breakfast. Service was good and the selection was always tasty. We didn't mind that they were a cash-only place. A really pleasant atmosphere, and we weren't rushed out after finishing our meal.

We ordered cappuccino and hot chocolate. When they took our order, they said they wanted cash, which we accepted. The order arrived, but they'd forgotten to heat the hot chocolate; the coffees were ice cold. We called the waiter, and he responded mockingly, "Me?!" When he arrived, we asked him to heat the cold coffees, and he rudely told us the coffee was like the original, straight from the machine. We paid the bill without drinking and left. Don't be fooled by the nice lighting and decorations inside.

Loved the tea break, they have a large choice of cakes. The walnut cake was very good.

Had the best salmon sandwiches. Neatly presented, topped with horseradish, tasted awesome. Two portions will leave you without further food wishes. Try it and let a cup of Redbush tea send the salmon south. Ambience is great, service is good. Know this Cafe since many years. Was closed for some time now has reopened. Recommended.
