Awesome food
Was looking for some authentic local food, searched on maps and this came up. I walked in and it was full of locals drinking beer, but no food. I asked if we could eat with my family and 4yo. We were welcomed in. No menu's in English, so Google Lens to the rescue. Daily specials, local dishes, tap beers at affordable prices. The food was terrific, we had pork and turkey schnitzels, a goulash type stew with bread, a cabbage salad and some wine. Schnitzels were huge, 2 pieces a serve. 4 people all less than 50 Euro's. It was that good we went back again the next night! The locals were friendly and welcoming. A highlight of our food whilst travelling around Europe. If you're close by drop in, you won't regret y.
A true Vienna experience. A local place that serves fresh, good food and cold beer. I’m a tourists and shocked a few people when I made my way in here. The day drinkers loved talking to us though. The pork Wiener schnitzel was wonderful. Fries were tasty. I’ll be back if I find myself in Vienna again.
Always open, very nice
Found this gem by accident and had a wonderful meal served by Yvonne, a friendly, patient, interactive waitress! Portions were large, home cooked, flavorful. Had the daily specials, 4 different ones, all great! Worth the time to find this hidden gem! Smoking inside so we sat outside and Yvonne brought us blankets! A special Vienna memory!
