Café & Konditorei Groissböck

We thought it was a good place because it was full. We entered at 17:38, and got greated with a "we close in 20 minutes", to which we agreed because we just wanted a fast coffee... "and it is only cash"... OK, all of this before a hello. We sat somewhere where there was an emergency exit so the waitress came to move us (again, before a hello...) and it is super understandable so we moved, a second later she disappeared even though we were ready to order. 9 minutes passed until she finally came to take our order... BUT BEFORE THAT she came saying that we need to leave before 6". We agreed, and she repeated again that we need to leave before 6. Rudely, she started to take our order. I asked for a black coffee, she rudely replied WHICH?!!, and since that behavior shocked me I just repeated "... A black coffee"... And then she said "we have two" and then finally managed to order a americano. One of my friends asked for a krapfen... To which she SLAMMED the chair against our table saying "I need to go check!!"... My other friend even changed her order because she was now afraid to ask for anything different and make her more angry at us. Got our order 5 mins later. Everyone around was watching this very weird and rude behavior. We all work in customer service and this treatment would never be allowed anywhere. As promised, we left 5:57 after this other lady brought our bill (she actually super peaceful and lovely). Since we are not from Austria or Vienna, we don't know if this is the way they always treat their customers but it shocked us. It was the weirdest customer service I've recieved. There are nicer ways of saying things...

Super cool with tasty and delicious food. Very nice atmosphere. Staff is great.

4,20 in a coffee? No thanks. I asked one piece of cake, they bring two. The bill was 7,90 and then I said 8. They charged 10 and said they don’t speak English. They don’t accept card.

I had die Pfannkuchen and in my opinion it is overrated. It was tasteless and the filling nothing special. I bit disappointed ☹️

Groissböck can never disappoint. I'm always satisfied with their hand work on the cakes😋. You have any birthdays, weddings or parties?, please pass by, you wont regret. And ofcourse they have a very good working team which can help you in making choices of which ever cake you would like.
