In my opinion they should better stick to an "alimentari", a food selling shop. They're not able enough to offer food as an "osteria"= a typical simple restaurant. The Ichnusa beer bottle was already expired last year, without natural gas anymore(bad sign!). My parmigiana's eggplants were not enough cooked and the tomato tasteless sauce without any character. My husband's pizza was more a "piadina"-like. I wanted to recover a better score by ordering the typical sicilian "arancini", but again disappointed by a too thick hard external layer, with an impersonal tasteless inner components. The ambiente is more like a simple small food shop. But prices are "stolz",like in a restaurant....Non way!
One of my favorite restaurants in Vienna! The food is superb, the staff is knowledgable, and the space honestly makes me feel like I'm in little Italy in New York. Or the real Italy. I also noticed they are family friendly, which is an added extra.
This is as authentic as it gets. All the kitchen staff are Italian and the products used are imported from Italy. The pasta carbonara is awesome! People in our group had pizzas. The crust on the pizza is great and the toppings are tasty. The burratta, mortadella and pistachio is delicious as is the pizza Marguerita. The waitress is gracious and spoke English.
They have the best tiramisu! Also we tried their hot meals - parmigiana di Melanzani was great!
Great little italian place Just one thing - there are better pizza places in Vienna, but everything else is great!
