Weekday mornings are the quietest
Miss Raisa, a very mannered and sweet lady. Their coffee is everything! Will come by again for sure.
The seats were full of old crumbs and slightly dirty. The toilets were old. Comunist vibe. The cakes were underwhelming and a dissapointment and the staff wasn't the most welcoming. Sacher cake was served without whipcream. We guess we had the bad luck of the draw because other afiliates looked much more welcoming and apetizing in other parts of Wien.
Been twice during my stay in Vienna. Staff unfortunately does not speak English, but it wouldn't matter that much if they were at least trying to make an effort to communicate (or take my order on my last visit). Quality of food is the same as any Aida around the city, not bad but far from excellent.
We ordered 2 Cappuccino, 1 Marillenspitz, a Topfenstrudel and a piece of Esterhazy-Cake. The Cappuccino were pretty mediocre. The lady that made them, definitely could visit a Barista course to understand how to prepare the foam properly. Even though the coffee was made out of the portafilter machine, it felt like it was done by a fully automatic coffee machine. The foam was just not nicely made. She was very nice though, so I can't say something against the service. What struck me, was that it was very quiet in the café. There was no music playing at all and the whole atmosphere was a bit weird due to that. My friend ate the Marillenspitz, which he enjoyed. I ate the Topfenstrudel, but didn't really enjoy it. It was very dry and not flavourful at all. You would need to guess when they actually "prepared" it, but it was definitely not made the same day. The cake was okay, nothing special either, though it was quite expensive for what it was. It's okay if you want to get the flair of an old viennese coffee place, but it is nothing more then that.
No no no. Service: they act like you annoy them (in that particular place, we visited another Aida and they were nice). Food: don't know - both times we visited most of the menu is not even available, different excuses every time. Deserts: below average. No cream with the strudle, no cream with the coffee although promised in the beautiful menu. Price: above average.
