I always drink my espresso black (no sugar). I came here expecting great espresso based on its reputation, but it didn't quite live up to the hype. The coffee bean chocolate, on the other hand, is excellent. I definitely recommend the chocolate!
The price-performance ratio was great, but we were disappointed that they had run out of pistachio croissants even though we went very early in the morning. Also, there are no tables inside, only bars. The mini croissants were delicious, and I recommend trying the tea as well. The staff were very friendly, and it's in a very central location, very close to the Pantheon. I definitely recommend coming for breakfast. 5/5
La Casa del Caffè Tazza d’Oro is a must-visit spot for coffee lovers in Rome. The espresso is rich, strong, and perfectly balanced — truly some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff are friendly and efficient, making the experience smooth even when it’s busy. You can also buy their coffee to take home, which is perfect for enjoying the same great taste later. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, and the atmosphere is classic and welcoming. Highly recommended for an authentic Roman coffee experience!
This café is an absolute gem! The ristretto here is perfection – rich, intense, and full of flavor, exactly what every coffee lover dreams of. And the Maritozzo pastry? Heavenly! Soft, fluffy, and perfectly sweet, it pairs beautifully with the coffee. Every visit feels like a little moment of indulgence in the heart of the city. Truly a must-visit for anyone who appreciates excellent coffee and pastries
This coffee experience in the heart of Rome absolutely needs a five star rating. It is, of course not your typical Roman coffee experience with an array of coffee concoctions on offer which no true Italian would even consider. However, for those of us who had some of our first true coffee experiences at Starbucks, it is absolutely essential to come to this café and see where the whole thing started. The decor of the café is beautiful even if seating is extremely limited. The wood and copper on bar is absolutely stunning as is the design of the espresso machine. I chose a gorgeous concoction of cold coffee with whipped cream and it was absolutely perfect on a warm Roman afternoon. This coffee shop truly combines the variety of coffees which some of us have come to expect with the design and feel of a true Roman café. I believe that this is not only a tourist destination, but also somewhere locals come for a different coffee experience. For any of us who consider ourselves real coffee aficionados this is a mandatory stop when you're in Rome. Everyone should go and post their photos!
