Absolutely beautiful place, we were told it's cash only, so went and got some money from an ATM. Came back and ordered two beers, definitely staying for a 2nd. The lady behind the bar that served us is lovely. We're from England and don't speak the language, but she has been very nice and accommodating. Would highly recommend!
Obviously establishments in Prague dont need to be polite because they aren't expecting your repeat custom, but you could just be polite out of being a nice human. I just walked in and unknowingly left the door open a bit, the barman went absolutely bananas at me. I apologised as he pointed at the door but he just went off on one even more. The place was empty so i definitely wasnt sitting in that room alone with this sour. Great hospitality 👍🏼🙄
What a great authentic pub, an absolute gem of a find, barman was really pleasant and great service, beer & cider were great, the atmosphere was superb just the noise of people talking, we visited twice it was perfect
📍Place: It's converted from a stable, it has a good atmosphere, small but cute. 🍺 Beer: I think the beers are nothing extraordinary, basically a good stop on your way to the downtown. 👩🏻🍳 Service: ⚠️CASH ONLY⚠️ the owner is very nice, smiling all the time, serves the beer quickly. He has a limited English knowledge but understands what needs to be understood.😊
Walked past here the night before visiting, and we were looking forward to coming the next night because the place looked very cosy and like a local place, and it was only meters away from our hotel. Upon entering we stood by the bar waiting for the man behind the bar to recognise us, he communicated only in Czech which was fine, eventually he ended up showing us to a table and leaving to menus for us to look at. When walking back to the bar he shook his head and sighed at us. From behind the bar he shouted to us in English if we have cash, and he gave us no option but to have two beers, we didn’t get a chance to choose which one. When delivering the beer he immediately asked for payment, and when he saw we had a larger note he became agitated and went to check if he had change. Coming back with change, he threw the coins and notes at us, leaving us having to collect them from around the table, and walked off. We felt extremely uncomfortable and not welcome, ended up leaving after having only a sip of the beer served. The place was full of people apart from the table we sat down at, and all seemed to be local people. We felt we weren’t welcome because we are foreigners and didn’t speak the language.
