Super cute and authentic spot with local grandmas having an afternoon coffee and cake ☕️ Not only did they have one of the best coffees we had in Prague but also had a crate of local apples that smelled and tasted amazing! They only accept card above 100kč but with a couple of sweets and an espresso it’s easy to surpass the minimum payment required. The ladies behind the counter are super sweet - they don’t speak English but a simple “please” and pointing to what you want with a smile will do it :)
This is a miracle place that has been left in Prague, where cheap delicatessens and wine bars are disappearing one after another from the city centre.
Since most restaurants and cafes don't seem to open until 1100 this is a great spot for something sweet to go with yourmearly morning coffee if you don't have or don't want a hotel breakfast.
The atmosphere of the coffee shop is wonderful. I was coming to Prague for a trip and I happened to arrive at this cafe and was surprised that most of the people were older. In fact, I lost my grandfather and grandmother at an early age so I was reassured and I was among the grandmothers in this wonderful cafe. Unfortunately does not accept payment card credits
We wished to experience a true Czech style cukrarna and it's precisely what we got. The place looks simple and fuctional, nothing fancy, but offers a variety if local sweets and coffee with a very reasonable price. It was pretty crowded (with mostly elderly) and we managed to snag the last table (inside) much to our delight! I don't think anyone speaks English, but that did not prevent us from ordering and enjoying our sweets, we had fun and enjoyed our time here.
