Weekday mornings are the quietest
The ownership and the name changed, but very glad the staff is just as nice as before. It's a quiet, cozy, friendly place, great coffee, and now a better food offer.
Today I ordered a small cappuccino, but was charged as if it were a large one. When I pointed it out, the waitress started explaining that she had made it with two espresso shots, which I never asked for—and the taste clearly didn’t reflect two shots. Instead of simply acknowledging the mistake from the start, it felt like I was being misled on purpose. Eventually, she offered to give me back the 10 CZK difference, but I didn’t take it. For me, that wasn’t the point—the issue was that the mistake wasn’t handled honestly.
Enjoyed, but not exceptional in my opinion
Best coffee we tried in Prague, nothing short of a good Italian one.
Nice and modern little café and a cake shop near Vyšehrad castle. They do offer coffees to go, which is perfect if you're in a hurry. The specialty coffees are really delicious and reasonably priced (a large latté is below 4€). However, when I visited, they were understaffed with a single lady running everything and quite a lot of people sitting inside, so the waiting times were longer (~10-15 minutes to get a coffee). Also, it was extremely hot and uncomfortable inside, maybe because the air conditioning was turned off? Despite that, I would be happy to come back again and try the cakes.
