You can find better cafeterias in the Prague, but this has great cultural history and you can meet here important people from czech, especially literary, culture.

Local's bar and cafe, with a couple of dogs. Nice atmosphere, no tourists (except us 🤔)

Quiet, a little bit off the beaten track literary café and bar. Despite being in the heart of the old town, the prices are very reasonable. A full range of coffees and alcoholic beverages are offered, together with typical bar snacks such as pickled cheese and sausages. No recorded music is played and there are no TV monitors. A place to relax or have a conversation with friends.

I always liked this cafe and their - nakladany hermelin. Fresh news, its totally smoke free now. Come if you like atmosphere of french cafes.

If you wanna step out of your daily rhythm and forget yourself, get lost in Řetězovka but make sure you don't mind smoking because it's one of the last cafés/bars which is totally smoking friendly. Prague theatre milieu meeting point that always promises an unexpected encounter.
