Relaxing with great coffee and delicious pinwheels.
Nice service, but I didn't like the coffee, the croissant was delicious.
Surprisingly excellent coffee and nice service 😊
It was the closest cafe to us and I was very pleasantly surprised. Extremely nice lady who served us, nice coffee and cakes. The space is shared with a nail salon and a hairdresser, but I suppose that is a consequence of the high rents in Prague and it did not limit us in any way. We will definitely come here again next time 🙂
Café Papilon is a café on Budějovická Street between the Budějovická and Pankrác metro stations. The café's exterior matches the local surroundings and I would like to compare the atmosphere to the capital of Georgia - Tbilisi, which I visited at the turn of July and August. In short, a taste of the East. The interior of the café has a pleasant influx of daylight, pleasant air and energy. I really like some greenery and there could easily be more of it. Primarily, this is the result of the modern style and the overall modern character of the café. I really appreciate the pleasant, but just loud music in the background. The interior of the café is connected to a hairdressing salon. Although I did not expect this before coming, in principle it is nothing that would bother me. On the contrary, I think it is nice to combine a pleasant hairdressing experience with a pleasant tasting experience, or vice versa. In terms of the interior, I see an opportunity to improve by separating the café from the hair salon with glass pass-through doors. Structurally, I don't think it's an extremely complicated matter and it would make both of the aforementioned experiences significantly more pleasant by ensuring that neither will be disturbed by the other. However, the visitor to the hair salon will be able to see into the café and vice versa, so I don't see any downside to that. I also see an opportunity to improve by investing in new chairs, which at the same time don't match the otherwise modern character of the café that much. As a cherry on the cake, I would add a little more greenery, although the café is definitely not at zero in the current situation. The friendly staff serves coffee on a modern wooden tray. The wooden tray offers an honest white Italian espresso cup on it, holding absolutely ideal propositions: anxiety and height, carried together with a decent spoon on a saucer of a similar character. The espresso cup proudly bears the company logo. I really appreciate this. The wooden saucer also contains a gray milk jug and a shot of water. The aesthetics of the serving here know no bounds and I can hardly find any imperfections here. Simply great. Espresso as such is quite watery for me, I would consider another supplier here and if it didn't help, then invest in a more expensive, higher-quality machine. In short, I appreciate the very nice service and the aesthetic way of serving. I see an opportunity for improvement in the interior in a little more greenery, in investing in more modern chairs and especially in separating the cafe from the hair salon with a glass door. As for espresso as such, I see an opportunity in intensifying the coffee and the resulting taste experience of the taster. For now, I am giving your cafe a motivational 3 stars. I believe that on my next visit I will change a lot according to the degree of change that will occur here. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you ;)
