Venerable restaurant with simple & elegant decor & a menu of classic & modern French bistro dishes....
It's really amazing restaurant. I fall in love 10 times even this is my first time here. Food is excellent, tastes so good and beautiful decorated. Also the place look so amazing. All staffs are good of taking care and lovely. Amazing 👏🏻👍🏻
Absolutely outstanding experience at Cafe de Paris! I came specifically for the entrecôte and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had – perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and that famous Cafe de Paris butter… pure magic! The fries on the side were crispy perfection and the green salad was fresh and beautifully dressed. The restaurant itself is stunning: elegant, classic Parisian decor with that timeless brasserie charm, white tablecloths, warm lighting, and such a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful. If you want an authentic, delicious, and beautifully classy Parisian dining experience, this is the place. Merci beaucoup, Café de Paris! ❤️
After attending the open day at the French consulate, we continued our day with lunch at a French restaurant across the street. We were greeted by friendly staff, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We'll be back.
The restaurant has a wonderfully relaxed and laid-back atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind. Our server was exceptionally friendly and took the time to explain the history of the restaurant and their signature Café de Paris sauce, which added a thoughtful personal touch to our visit. We of course ordered their famous entrecôte, served with secret butter sauce. The steak was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, and the sauce added a perfectly balanced, rich touch without overwhelming the meat. We try this type of French entrecôte wherever we go, and this one truly stood out — a delightful combination of classic technique and signature flavor. The portion size was generous but not excessive, leaving us satisfied yet comfortable. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, combining delicious food, attentive service, and a cozy, welcoming ambiance — right across the street from the French Embassy! We’ll definitely be returning to savour their entrecôte again if we have a chance.
This restaurant is a great find and next to the Lennon wall so you can see a tourist site and follow with a fancy dinner. As far as the places we went this was the most expensive meal I had in Prague. The onion and cheese soup was good and if you like well expressed onion flavor then it is a solid choice. Not much is provided but it is good. The salad comes with some sort of horseradish vinaigrette I think. It was a mixed experience for our table, but I liked it. The steak they are know for was good and I'd save a piece of bread to finish the leftover sauce on the plate if I were you. I'd say a soup and an entree is enough to sate, but not fill the average person which is good if you are planning to walk a bit more afterwards. All in all it was a good experience, however, two minor detractors made the experience less good for me. First, when I asked if they had a cocktail menu the response I got was a little bit like I had asked a dumb question. Second, the creme brulee was not very good. It comes in a wide and shallow dish and has some bits hot and some cold which was weird. I'd just get dinner here and grab dessert somewhere else. The cappuccino I got with dessert was very good though, but really small. I'd say this place was worth experiencing, but not worth the price to come to regularly.
