It is such a lovely coffee in a heart of a library 📚 definitely recommended :) kind English speaking , quick service. Card payment available!
Policy to force guests to leave after 30 mins they don’t reorder or if anyone is waiting for a table. Not catering for dietary requirements. Rude staff and management. Avoid if you can. Tourist trap. * edit as no reply to owner’s reply possible on google maps: - Respectfully, I would love to see your policy where you have to force your guests to leave if they don’t order for 30 minutes. - Just to make it clear: your employee has NOT offered ANY gluten free options when I asked (or had no knowledge of the allergens). There was no conversation about sweet or savoury options and there was no labelling of allergens in your counter. This is a lie. I would have loved to take anything that fits my dietary requirements as I was pretty hungry. - I did not have any water or beverage with me, this is why I went to your coffee. The accustion about me drinking my own beverage is incorrect. It is pretty bad you make up lies to help your poor reasoning of your rudeness as otherwise it would look pretty bad if you’d admit it openly or to simply apologise. Maybe it would be also an option to admit you regularly force people to leave from their desks. You prioritise quick income, but sacrifice the satisfaction of your guests and the quality of your service is sad. Making up lies to cover it? Super disgraceful. OG review: So today I was asked to leave from this pretty cafe after not ordering for 30 minutes and occupying a double table alone. I have just started an email and wanted to finish when the guy frankly told me to leave. I wasn’t even the longest sitting there and not the only working on a laptop. There were two girls who just arrived wanting a table when I was asked to leave. Reading back other reviews, this coffee is regularly exercises this practice if they get busy. There was no accomodation or knowledge of gluten-free dietary requirements in place. Caffee was alright but alrogether bad experience and not recommend.
Great place to sit down if you want to read or get some work done. Staff came with a menu right after seeing my struggling to scan the QR code on the table. The lemonade I got tastes great.
Cafe Academia is a cozy little cafe located in the heart of Prague's New Town. It's a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee or tea. The cafe has a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. I've been to Cafe Academia a few times now, and I've always had a positive experience. The coffee is always fresh and hot, and the pastries are delicious. I'm particularly fond of their croissants, which are flaky and buttery.
This cafe is located on the second floor of the Academia bookstore. The staff is very nice and friendly. The outdoor patio provide a nice view overlooking the Main Street area, and very close to the Prague National Museum It’s a very nice and chill place for coffee, drinks and get to see the city in a very vibrant angle.
