Vieux Garçons

Excellent restaurant. Ate here on our last night after a week in Paris and by far the best food we had all week. Beef rib main was incredible. Desserts delicious. Accompanied by fine wine and great service.

Good Caesar salad, generous portion. did not try the rest. Seems on the pricier side for mains.

We came for a late lunch on a Thursday. I chose the plat du jour (côte de cochon) and my husband chose a main from the à la carte menu (poulpe grillées). The pork chop had a little too much gristle and fat for my liking and it was pretty tough. I chose the dish because I like a good Béarnaise sauce, but it was not as shallot-vinegared as I would have wanted. The octopus was so tender (like melt in your mouth tender) and delicious.

We got wine and a cheese board. The wine was excellent and the cheese board was solid. Service was below average.

Good service! They let us eat quite early in the evening, which was nice. The blood pudding an the vegetable risotto were wonderful!
