Minimalist, glass-fronted nook for specialty espresso, plus pastries & sandwiches....
Charming space, delightful staff, highest quality coffees. Various origins and process methods from a few different roasters. I’ve worked in the coffee industry for 20 years— trust me telescope is best. For food try the eggs and the banana bread. Be nice to them they deserve it.
The issue wasn’t the taste of the coffee as much as how the situation was handled. The barista initially prepared the cortado in a paper cup with. After noticing the mistake, he poured it into a ceramic cup and added more milk, which resulted in a drink that was no longer a cortado at all. Problem-solving and consistency matter more than the coffee itself. When we ordered another cup because we didn’t like it, (intentionally) the same incorrect proportions were used again. Disappointing experience overall, especially in terms of handling feedback and fixing mistakes.
Don’t listen to Tchay, this place is awesome. Good coffee, fair price. Cozy atmosphere, nice service and selection of music. Everything is on point. It’s one of those place that makes people want to revisit often.
The worst café experience we’ve had in Paris — or anywhere else. We were exploring the city’s coffee scene — both as a hobby and part of our work — and stopped by this café with genuine excitement. There were several free tables inside and outside, and we politely asked to sit at a corner table. The waiter immediately said no. Fine — we understand certain seating rules in Europe. The real issue came when ordering. As we always do, we wanted to start by sharing one coffee and then order another. For us, specialty coffee is about sharing and experiencing it together. To our surprise, the waiter said sharing was not allowed, and that we could only stay if each person ordered separately. A policy completely at odds with hospitality and specialty coffee culture. And despite such strict rules, the drinks didn’t justify anything. The only filter option was AeroPress, and the coffee was flat and lacked body. The espresso was overly acidic and unbalanced. For a place enforcing mandatory ordering, serving poorly extracted drinks makes everything even more incoherent. Sadly, it was the worst café experience we’ve had — especially surprising in a city with so many exceptional coffee shops.
Great coffee and great service. I stopped in for a double espresso to go and enjoyed it on the bench outside. Fun to see a place with regulars and clear that this cafe has a passion for quality. My phone's gps got a bit confused, but it was just a bit further and to the right.
