Best Hours for Work
Weekday mornings are the quietest
we loved this place... sitting is available downstairs and upstairs, and on the sidewalk... table size is ample... you order at the counter and they bring the order to you... staff is friendly and coffee is good... they sell coffee in bags too... we sat upstairs with a view over the barista; we loved watching the staff at work... afterwards we walked alongside the 'very' nearby st martin canal... we will be back for more coffee
Best coffee stop in this part of the city. Their drinks are quick and flavourful. This place has small areas for sitting upstairs, downstairs, and even outside. They are just a few paces off the main canal way. Have started many a happy morning by stopping by.
I ordered espresso macchiato and cookie but it was not that good, I spent around 40 minutes to try this coffee shop. I had better espresso and cookie in many places. By the way they do have coffee and cookies and cakes only
REVISED: The best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had. Excellent coffee as always. The staff are friendly, professional and efficient. (Jan 2024) - I was really disappointed on our fourth visit. We ordered a scone to eat indoors and some pastries to take away. Not knowing if they thought a 2€ order didn’t deserve their service, so took more than 15 minutes to heat it and prioritised orders from other customers who came later than us. And the scone was as solid as a rock. (Oct 2022) - Their coffee is EXCELLENT! You can taste various flavours from the first sip to the last one. They have good cookies too! Just the scones are okay, and no jam or cream provided if you take them away. Overall the prices here are high, but it seems the norm in this area. The staff are cool and friendly; the vibes are enjoyable. Highly recommended if you’d like to try some British-style coffee shop in Paris. (Sep 2022)
UPDATED 4 days later from original posting below…..This place just gets better! 12 savory visits in 14 days firmly cements top spot in Paris. Barista Enyoman maintains consistent quality and a young lady from Australia always had friendly smile and words. Manager Caroline is AMAZING and gave us flowers on last visit in addition to personally preparing our coffee. My wife (ma belle in picture) and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 week visit to Paris and Ten Belles was a big part of it. This rating is for 10 Belles in 10th. Best roasted coffee in Paris for flat white (latte) and cortado (piccolo). Strong flavors, rich crema, great quality milk. Fast service despite queues. People are friendly if you try speaking French. I typically drink 2-3 coffees daily at different merchants wherever traveling to gather perspective. The Mix Tape espresso blend is excellent for taking home to make your own coffee - just don’t expect to match the quality produced by the belle baristas. Have patronized this location 9 of last 10 days. Paris coffee has always been average in my experience due to being spoiled by Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco coffeehouses. 10 Belles is worth one or several visits. In fact a kind Parisian lady sitting next to me, Celine, had walked 60 mins from the 7th for a cup and exercise. Bonus - enjoy a stroll along canal while sipping excellent brew.
