Hip, chill restaurant whipping up American fare & desserts, plus weekend brunch, coffee & cocktails....
The atmosphere and seating is nice here but the food is mediocre and overpriced for the quality you are getting. Shakshuka eggs were good, mushroom toast with an egg was a miss. Service is good but they mistakenly gave us almond milk coffee instead of oat milk. The seating feels more spacious than other restaurants and the vibe is nice.
I really wanted to love this place, but I think my expectations were just a bit too high. We were welcomed warmly and seated right away, which was a great start. We ordered the mushroom sandwich to share and a shakshouka, and I went for an iced coffee. The first disappointment was the sandwich; it came with an overcooked, cold egg on top. When we asked the waiter what happened, he casually mentioned that the chef had run out of eggsβ¦ which honestly made no sense and felt pretty unacceptable. We sent it back and asked for any properly cooked egg instead. Seven minutes later, the dish reappeared with a perfectly boiled egg, exactly how it should have been from the start. As for the shakshouka, it was basically a broccoli ratatouille in disguise. The flavor wasnβt bad, but it had nothing to do with a real shakshouka. Overall, it feels like this place has slipped out of the top brunch spots in the city. There are definitely others doing it much better now.
Cali Sisters is another hidden gem in Paris, combining great food, creative cocktails, and a warm, laid-back vibe. The ambiance is stylish yet relaxed, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Whether you're stopping in for brunch or drinks, itβs a great spot to unwind and enjoy quality flavors in the heart of the city.
We just had lunch here and had a terrific meal. It's about a 15 min walk from the Louvre/ Carousel and so it was a perfect location for us to get a fresh and delicious lunch. We had the guacamole and chips, mac and cheese and tuna tartare and everything was outstanding. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty, and beautifully presented. Their juice drinks were tremendous, especially the Hello Sunset. Service was very friendly, albeit a bit uneven at times, but overall very good. Decor is wonderful, very cozy, green and charming. Highly recommended.
The place is beautiful, service is great! Plates look nice! The reason I have only put 4 stars and not 5 is because I found the salty brunch options very basic. Shatshuka eggs, avocado toast and an egg sandwich are too mainstream and not so mind blowing. On the other side, sweet options were way more better, and delicious.
