Loved it! Best Guinness in Paris by far. Kevin, the owner is straight Dublin, and it is as though he brought Dublin with him! The Smashed Cheeseburger was insanely delicious. And our server Dora was very attentive to our every need!
We had a late lunch, around 2:30 on a Saturday in January. The owner Kevin took care of us, and the whole experience was a delight. The fish and chips were excellent and the ribs were outstanding. Don’t skip the sticky pudding.
Have been to Molly's a few times in the past few months after moving into the area. The location is wonderful, the interior is clean and cared-for, and the people generally friendly. My issue is with the food. It's mediocre and overpriced. The cheeseburger was frail -- about half a CM thick, the bun was burnt, and the onions were sharp, sulfur-laden, and excessive. Don't believe me? See that skinny little brown thing? That's the Molly's 11,00 € burger -- without the chips. Add chips and a beer, and the tab gets close to 30 €.
Molly’s Trivia Night on Mondays was our favorite activity while studying abroad. We went religiously every week and the trivia is in English AND French, and just challenging enough. Kevin at the bar is one of the friendliest dudes ever and Fred, who creates the trivia every week, is a genius. What an atmosphere and one of the best memories I’ve had in France. Great Fish and Chips, and the only real Guinness tap in Paris.
We had a great experience at Molly’s on Mother’s Day last weekend : the best fish and chips I’ve had outside of the UK, an excellent double smash burger and a lovely espresso martini were amongst my favourites. Service was a tad slow and could have been a little more attentive : no clearing of empty glasses and plates, I eventually took them to the bar myself but hey ho that’s true British pub spirit for you, and our waiter was so nice that it made up for it! A couple of little kitchen hiccups : fish and chips came without the sacrosanct peas so had to ask for them, and the bread & butter pudding came with crumbled biscoff/spéculoos instead of the homemade date stone crumble - a little disappointing but once again the rest was spot on so not marking down on this. Loved Molly’s overall, and will definitely be back to try more g&ts!
