Maine Café

I visited this restaurant today with my family. We were enjoying our food and then I came across a FLY which had been cooked in my food. We were all disgusted and the rest of my family were put off their food and couldn’t finish. We informed the staff and they just walked away with the plate. The manager did not bother to come over or any other member of staff to apologise. When we eventually got the managers attention she said we MUST pay for it and treated us with police. One member of staff (man) even smashed a glass and threatened us! I will never ever visit this restraunt again !! The only understanding member of staff was our waitress who served us - her name was Marie

Ambience was relaxed, cheerful. You had the feeling there were many regulars. The food was just okay, and not the cheapest. The service was excellent. Both ordering and delivery were very quick without being rushed. Staff were very friendly. Especially convenient for English speakers - waiter spoke very good English and invited it.

Quick and excellent service. Incredible food! We stopped here on our way to Tour Montparnasse and had an incredible meal. Didn't get a picture of my husband's main dish, but it was also excellent. I recommend the café gourmand for dessert.

We struggled to find somewhere with menus in English until we found le main cafe. Not only did they have English menu and fantastic waitress the food was absolutely spot on. Would definitely recommend.

We arrived in Paris nearly a week ago and upon arrival stumbled into Le Maine. Good decisions were made. The waitress was fantastic, the service on point, the food being excellent in portion and price and finally the wine! We went through for our final dinner in Paris before departing. This helped clarify that it was not just the wine helping me to remember the good time we had - the second time round was just as good!!
