Nice corner cafe , the waiter was efficient, we had coffee & creme brulee, all good

HORRIBLE SERVICE! It says there is a minimum card usage amount on the menu. We only went in for the coffee, so when we paid, we used cash. The waiter took the cash and started to look it up and down as if it was fake money and kept side-eyed us and complaining in French despite our asking if there was any problem. This place is full of an incredible rude macho atmosphere and is very unwelcoming to tourists. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! INCREDIBLY RUDE!

I visited this place for a few drinks. The waiter was respectful and efficient, and the beer was OK. What pissed me off was, after paying the check, and leaving a 10% tip, I walked in to use the rest room before I left the place. The big, very French-looking guy in the bar asked rudely ‘where are you going?’ Then I said ‘I’ll use the rest room’. Then he said ‘No, customers only.’ Then I said, ‘I AM a customer’. Then the dude just sulked and avoided eye contact. Maybe I’m overly sensitive with my middle eastern background; but I was expecting an ‘I’m sorry, I did not know, please let me know if you need anything else’. As a tourist here for fun, I’m really OK with paying 12 euros for an OK pint of beer, or 5 euros for a small bottle of water; and in return I’m only expecting the minimum level of human behaviour from the people serving me, which failed for me in this place.

We tried this café for lunch since it’s right in front of the museum and we were hungry. It was busy, the food was decent, and the service was good.

Great service, gorgeous food! Some reviews are saying it’s overpriced but you should expect that with it being next to Musee D’orsay. I also read reviews saying they are rude to tourists but the staff were more than happy to serve us! Great experience overall.
