Weekday mornings are the quietest
7:42 AM, I went back to the bar/tobacconist to have a coffee. It's a seedy, disgusting place, particularly filthy, with an owner who doesn't even say hello when you arrive. You finally get a coffee that's not even French, that tastes like tar, and he charges you €1.50 for three sips of that garbage that could wake the dead. Not to mention the very exotic setting and the strong stench of Place de la Chapelle in Stalingrad. I strongly advise against going there; avoid it at all costs.
The best in the area.
There are only beggars persistently asking for a cigarette or money to buy scratch cards. I find the place really miserable and the waiter yelled at me.
Absolutely avoid this place! It's a disgrace! The owner literally threw me out under the pretext that they were closing… He even grabbed my arm to force me to leave—unheard of! Unacceptable, aggressive, and disrespectful behavior. A woman who sells cigarettes is no better: just as unpleasant and rude as him. Frankly, these people don't deserve to own a business; you can tell they're bitter. If you're looking for a place with even a modicum of respect and professionalism, steer clear.
Very rude and unpleasant man at the counter. I arrived at the entrance and some guys were looking at me insistently and whistling at me. Very questionable clientele, in short, this place sucks. I bought two packs of cigarettes and the guy tried to rip me off on the price. In short, check your change and the credit card center carefully when you pay; these people are scammers and this is a disreputable place.
