Le gamin de Paris

Just a block away from the beautiful Luxembourg park, this nice local spot was playing smooth jazz and caught my attention. Ordered a bottle of chilled Chardonnay (only 23 euro) to share🥂Also ordered a few typically French affair. Beef tartare was fresh with rich flavor. The steak was tender and the beef Bergeron was moist and savory. To top off, we finished a great lunch by sharing the last slice of cheesecake. Staff were very accommodating and social. Will return on our next visit. I say check it out.

A lovely little place with a welcoming atmosphere. This French café serves good, well‑prepared food in a pleasant setting. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. There’s a wide variety of dishes — not every one is exceptional, but everything is tasty and enjoyable. The selection of starters and amuse‑bouches is particularly worth trying.

Do not go to this establishment! I went with a group of students to eat. There was not a selection that was suitable for the students to eat therefore, we decided to go to another restaurant. I went to the bathroom and was accused of using their restaurant only to use their dirty and and hair filled bathroom. I was called a liar and blamed for the reason why servers don’t wanna work in restaurants because of people “like me” using the restaurant to only go to the bathroom. When I said that it was not case and the server lecturing me heavily disrespected me. I tried to explain the situation to him in French and in English. And he told me to only speak to him in French. I left and was talking to a neighboring restaurant to try to eat. The server who insulted me rushed at me and insulted me even further by telling me to go away when he was the one who approached me. Do not eat at this establishment.

Very friendly stuff, very good food!

Had the best night in this place! My partner and I went in for a beers and a pizza and ended up drinking and chatting with the locals all night. The atmosphere was great and we were made to feel very welcome! If you want a genuine experience with a few drinks and good food, I’d highly recommend here. Great value too!
