Le Franc-Tireur

A very authentic corner cafe. We were only there for some drinks to kill some time. We were seated outside and had mulled wine and Tea. The server was very kind. Even if we didn't have a meal, the food smelled and looked fantastic all around us.

Super local place, it seems very one knows everyone there. Despite the reviews I think the food was much better than expected, the service was nice and the atmosphere is truly local and Parisian. A place to come back to.

Le Franc Tireur serves delicious food—so good that we ate there twice during our stay in Paris. Everything we tried was flavorful and well prepared, making it a place we were happy to return to. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Not too many tourists. You can sit here to soak up the authentic French café atmosphere while drinking your glass of wine or cup of coffee, and watch the chapel in front with kids running around or couples getting married. They serve a really fine and delicious breakfast. They also serve dinner until late at night.

We picked this place not because of the reviews, but because we wanted to people watch. It's a bit of a tourist trap but actually the food was very good and the wine was excellent. A decent place to sit and watch the world go by and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Somewhat expensive but hey, this is Paris.
