Raw seafood platters & grilled whole fish, in a wood-lined room resembling a ship's cabin....
Poor service, but delicious food. They dont even bother to serve the bottle of champagne.
Le Duc is a true hidden gem in the heart of Paris, radiating authentic Parisian charm. I’m incredibly grateful my friend introduced me to this restaurant yesterday—such places are becoming rare worldwide. This delightful family-run establishment offers a menu dedicated to exquisitely fresh seafood, each dish prepared with care that highlights the natural flavors of the ocean. From tender oysters to perfectly cooked fish, every bite bursts with freshness and culinary mastery. The ambiance is intimate and effortlessly elegant, embodying the spirit of classic Parisian dining. The attentive and hospitable staff enhance the experience with their warm, unpretentious service, making you feel like a cherished guest rather than just a customer.
So all my stars go for the team that found the table last minute, not by the bar. But…it is actually just a bistro with a full restaurant price. Because, first of all, the dishes have no creativity in them. Secondly, the service is just in taking your order and delivering it sooner or later to the table. You need to catch them. Advice to the guests: do not take the green salad. It is very cheap simple leaves and….that’s it. I had to ask for a vinegar or smth, as it is like literally just leaves… Like the ones you get half kilo in a simple grocery next to you. They did wash it. I’d go for the raws and the mains. We really thought it will be like Langosteria in Milan but even they add some personal touch to the dish. The monkfish Provençal was chewy.
We found this spot by accident. Didn’t have any reservations but they were kind enough to let us in at 8.30pm. We had the langusitine- absolutely perfect , well cooked and not over cooked. We met another lovely couple and conversations were good. The waiter was fabulous , we even took a picture with him afterwards. I highly recommend
Great traditional high end seafood. For our meal, I think they forgot our main courses (no apologies either) until we reminded them, so it took a while longer and ended up being a 2.5 hour dinner. Otherwise service was very friendly and good.
