Le Canal

Stopped for lunch whilst walking along the canal. Obviously popular with local people and not difficult to see why. Great food, pleasant surroundings, ice cold beer and friendly staff. I would recommend a visit here without hesitation.

I ordered Cuisse de canard confite pommes sautées, haricots verts (Duck leg confit, fried potatoes, green beans) and the dish was delicious. The staff members were friendly and nice.

Currently here for thirty minutes waiting, have asked the waiter three times for water still has not brought any. Asked for the special which they have on the chalkboard which is chicken was told it was not ready when I asked what time it would be ready I was told they were out but I could order chicken off the menu as long as it wasn’t the special of the day . In fairness this review is only about service. At least in jail they serve you bread and water.
