Le Café Truc

Probably my favourite food that I had on my trip to Paris (but I love cheese so perhaps I’m biased). I had the croque monsieur and it was delicious, the staff were friendly and service was very quick! We’d see people sitting outside a lot having drinks, there was never really a quiet moment there and now I can see why. If it looks busy outside, don’t be put off, the interior has more seating and we managed to sit inside to eat. A real hidden gem back off the main road!

Truly phenomenal simple French food in non pretentious setting. Popped in first time just needing a close place to the hotel to eat while on business trip and ordered the daily special, which was amazing. Service was great. Decided to come back again for lunch the following day and again, the daily special was spectacular.

Best place we found in Paris!! First we found café Truc for coffee, which was the best around and im fussy with my morning coffee. Tonight we tried here for dinner. Firstly the staff were very welcoming and friendly, going the extra mile to fine a wine I would like, followed by a visit from the chef, who spoke to us at length, chatting about where we was from, what foods we liked, explained the menu (which was given in an English board) then the food arrived and just wow!!! Absolutely stunning, the wine was perfect too. Highly recommended this beautiful friendly place.

Local place great for evening drink with really good food. Love the very generous mushroom risotto.

Neighborhood cafe with no frills but great food. They do have English menus. The mushroom risotto was great as was the mixed board.
